A Welcome Note by The Principal
Fáilte romhaibh go suíomh Gaelscoil Faithleann. I am delighted to welcome you to the website of Gaelscoil Faithleann Primary School. Gaelscoil Faithleann has provided Irish Medium Primary Education in Killarney now for over 23 years, and in that time many parents have chosen this school as the first vital step in their child's education. Our children come from Killarney and from the local parishes of Beaufort, Faha, Firies, Fossa, Glenflesk , Kilcummin, Killorglin and Rathmore.
There are presently 206 children attending our school and there are 22 children attending Naíonra Faithleann,our Irish Medium Play School.
Irish at Gaelscoil Faithleann is a vibrant day to day language . Children acquire the language naturally through its use in their learning, during play and informally throughout the school day. The children are encouraged to be proud of our language and of our culture.
As a Primary School, we actively encourage the involvement of parents and members of our community in school life. The success of each child's education is important to us whatever their ability. We pride ourselves on being a happy, secure and forward-looking school committed to the highest possible achievement on behalf of our children through an Irish medium environment. Our children are well mannered and polite and we are very proud of them.
Whether you are a prospective parent or have children already at the school, you can be assured that all staff involved with your children are committed to providing high quality education across the spectrum.

Comhghairdeachas le Rang 2 taréis a gCéad Chomaoineach a fháil ar an Satharn. Míle buíochas le Múinteoir Lísa agus An tAthair Seosamh as ucht a gcuid oibre go léir. Bhí féasta deas againn sa scoil ina dhiaidh eagraithe ag Coiste na dTusimitheoirí.
Congratulations to the children of rang 2 on receiving their First Holy Communion on Saturday. Sincere thanks to Múinteoir Lisa and Father Joe for all their work. We had a lovely celebration organised by our Parents Council at the school afterwards. Many thanks to you all.

Déirigh go h-íontach leis na buachaillí i dTrá Lí inné.Bhí Rang 5 i gcoinne Rang 6 sa Chluiche Leath Cheannais agus bhuaigh Rang 6. Chaill Rang 6 áfach sa chraobh ansin. Táimid an bhrodúil asaibh a bhuachaillí.
Our boys did fantastic at FAI soccer in Tralee yesterday. Rang 5 and Rang 6 ended up playing each other in the semi finals which Rang 6 won. They were beaten unfortunately in the final. We are very proud of you all.
